Feeling Low-Energy & Flatlined? You Might Be Deficient In This Critical Nutrient

Whole Food Vitamin C-Complex Vs Ascorbic Acid

Suffering from super low energy doesn’t automatically translate into feeling drained. For most, utter exhaustion is the hallmark symptom of low energy, no doubt. But, when your body is unable to supply energy at the cellular level at a higher level than your body demands energy, then a whole slew of other low-energy symptoms can be experienced. Brain fog, anxiety, not being able to get out of fight or flight, feeling toxic, libido issues, motivation, and drive, just to name a few. ALL require a baseline of “cellular” energy to be produced to avoid those challenges.

Making matters worse, rarely (if ever), is there one single reason for feeling burnt out and flatlined. Between your day-to-day to-do lists, daily commitments, family demands, a poor diet, late nights, lack of sleep, and too much caffeine, immune system woes. ALL contribute to your exhaustion.

Specifically, there is one nutrient that can be a double-edged sword that when consumed in the wrong form, or the right form, can make your fatigue even worse, or boost your energy immediately. If you’re feeling constantly exhausted, keep reading, this might shed light on what you’re doing wrong.

Whole Food Vit C (WFC) vs. Ascorbic Acid/Ascorbate

Ascorbic acid is probably one of the most widely recommended nutrients in the world. But the fact remains that ascorbic acid, calcium ascorbate (the most widely used forms), along with anything “ascorbate” is SYNTHETIC. Synthetic Vit C is completely different than a whole food version of vitamin C.

But before I get into why synthetic Vit C doesn’t have the same physiological effects that whole food vitamin C has, and actually has very detrimental (energy-draining effects), let’s discuss how whole food vitamin C supports your energy levels.

According to a leading authority in plant stem cell research and embryonic phytochemistry Dominique Richard, your body requires whole-food vitamin c-complex to form collagen in bones, cartilage, and muscle as well as to ensure the strength and flexibility of your blood vessels. Which, if not working properly, will cause enormous fatigue.

However, more directly, as professor Richard points out your adrenal glands “have an enormous need for vitamin C complex like no other glands”. Since one of the primary functions of your adrenals is to act as your body’s energy reservoir, playing a tremendous role in providing your body with energy in times of stress. Estimations as much as 95% of the body’s stores for real vitamin C-complex are found in the adrenal glands.

If that isn’t enough, professor Richard explains how the vitamin C-complex provides the armor to your lymphocytes. In translation, without the vitamin C complex, your lymphocytes will be impotent, fail to function, and not properly fight off infections appropriately.

Why is Synthetic Vit C (ascorbic acid/ascorbate) so detrimental to your energy?

For starters, according to professor Richard is the fact that nearly all synthetic vitamin C today are manufactured from genetically modified (GMO) corn, beets, tapioca, or cassava.

Another startling revelation Richard writes “synthetic ascorbic acid has been shown to destroy beneficial probiotic bacteria in the human gut and to cause oxidative stress”

Wow.

But the worst is yet to come.

In 1948, two researchers Carl G Holmberg and C.B Laurell published a landmark paper. In that paper, Holmberg and Laurell introduced the scientific community to one of the most important (if not the most) energy-producing proteins in your body: CERULOPLASMIN.

I cannot do ceruloplasmin justice in one paragraph, but the take-home message is, one of ceruloplasmin’s major functions is to use copper to make energy. Plain and simple. Holmberg and Laurell went on to demonstrate how synthetic Vit C (aka ascorbic acid/ascorbate) is one of the elements capable of breaking down ceruloplasmin. acta chem scand 2: 1948:550-56

The bottom line is that synthetic Vit C and/or ALL forms of ascorbic acid act as a toxic substance in your body, and has been known for over 70 years!

The Final Word:

Our world is complicated and demanding enough with all your daily stressors. All contributing to your mental, physical, and emotional drain. The last thing you want to do is make it worse by taking a fake/synthetic, laboratory-made vitamin “imposter”.

Making matters worse, research has known about the ill effects of ascorbic acid in any form, and continues to sell the bejesus out of it. Making you worse, and supplement companies richer.

I never understood replacing an earthly made food source with a man-made alternative. I guess common sense isn’t so common.
